Bio-curtains as opposed to planting trees to reduce CO2 levels

A team of architects and scientists in London have designed “bio-curtains” that can be hung on the facades of buildings and more importantly remove carbon dioxide from the air. These “bio-curtains” which contain pockets of algae growing within them, take in carbon dioxide from the surroundings and release oxygen via photosynthesis.

If all buildings around the world are installed with such “bio-curtains”, do you think it will be a viable way to significantly reduce carbon dioxide levels and curtail the effects of climate change?

Watch a video about these “bio-curtains” on this BBC site.
