Bees can do math too!

Thought human beings are the only ones who can do arithmetic? Think again. A recent study published in Science Advances shows that bees can do basic math such as addition and subtraction.

The researchers from RMIT University performed a series of experiments that involved mazes and chambers which were used as choices for the bees to select. When bees answered correctly they were rewarded with sugar water. However, when they chose an incorrect answer, they were fed with quinine solution that tasted bitter.

Now that scientists have shown that bees can add and subtract, can they show that bees can also divide and multiply?
